HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR HEALTHY MIND

DIASPORA CONTRIBUTION TO  IMPROVE AFRICAN HEALTH AND THEIR WELL-BEING WITH SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN A SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT. 

 We as one of the Diaspora  organizations  need  to  be  brought  in  the  position  to  strategically  form  alliances  and  partnerships with  local  communities  in  the  efforts  geared toward building resilience to climate risk.Our goal is to  facilitate  the  setting  up  of  a  permanent  monitoring  team  composed  of  representatives from Diaspora and civil society associations and activists in Africa that collectively over-see the unfolding dynamics of climate change on the continent and regularly bring these issues to the  attention  of  decision-makers  at  local,  national,  regional,  continental  and  global  levels.  Furthermore,  the  African  Diaspora  organizations like DIAFASUD  would  foster  the  establishment  of  an  informal forum in which Diaspora and non-state institutions both in Africa and in Europe could establish  viable  contacts  and  networks,  and  share  information,  expertise,  best  practices  and  positive  experiences regarding the adaptation to climate change. Eventually, the proactive participation of the  Diasporas  can  contribute  to  the  development  of  a  mechanism  through  which  the  non-state  actors  can  play  a  tangible  role  in  the  efforts  of  addressing  the  nexus  between  climate  change,  development and migration.
